Request a Licence Application Form

Before requesting an application form, please ensure you have read the Universal Guidance for individuals applying of a Licence or Authorisation and meet the CLC’s eligibility criteria to apply for an application.

The CLC uses the online platform, DocuSign, to process applications for:

  1. CLC Conveyancing and/or Probate Licence – (Please ensure you are using the current version of the Statement of Practical Experience which is linked here)
  1. Cross-Qualifying FCILEx and Solicitors
  2. Re-applying following an Expired Licence ensure you have met the requirements outlined here. 
  3. Head of Legal Practice (HoLP) ensure your occupational experience meets the CLC’s expectations here.
  4. Head of Finance and Administration (HoFA) ensure your occupational experience meets the CLC’s expectations here.
  5. Registered Manager (validate your eligibility here).

For Registered Manager, HoLP and HoFA Applications the notification of the change to those individuals should come through the practice. This can be done by the practice emailing the Licensing Team at licensing@clc-uk.org.

You should then only request an application once you have ensured you have met the eligibility criteria, which also includes:

If you have met the eligibility criteria, to request the relevant application, you should complete the table below to tell us your name, email, mobile number and application type.

Once your application request has been processed you will then be sent an email from the CLC Licensing Team via DocuSign (dse@eumail.docusign.net) with a link to accessing the application you have requested.
