Practices exiting CLC regulation

As we have reported, the six practices listed below have been required to take steps to exit CLC regulation because they have not secured PII cover for the 2021/2022 year which is compliant with the CLC’s Minimum Terms and Conditions.

  • Gaddes Noble Limited
  • Kapasi & Co Ltd
  • RH Property Lawyers Limited
  • Seymour Luke Limited
  • VH Law Limited
  • Viney Becks LTD

These practices have not been able to take on new work under CLC regulation since 30th June 2021.

Seymour Luke and Kapasi & Co are closing on 30 September 2021 and are permitted until this time to work towards completing matters which were instructed prior to 30 June 2021. They can also undertake post-completion work.

The rest of the practices are only permitted to continue to finalise post-completion work.

The practices will be informing clients, lawyers working on the other side of their transactions, lenders, suppliers and others.
