You should use this dedicated 2018-19 renewal page to stay updated with this year’s licence renewal.
The current licence year ends on 31 October 2018 and your individual licence must be renewed by this date if you intend to practise as a CLC Lawyer after 31st October 2018. Below is what you can expect from this year’s renewal process:
Paying for your licence
If you have completed and signed your declaration, and it has been processed by the Renewal Team, you will receive an email asking you to pay for your licence. Please note, your invoice will be emailed from Xero, on firstname.lastname@example.org.
To pay for your licence, please click on the link in the email and pay by credit or debit card.
If you told us you are renewing your licence for the 2018-19 licensing year, you will have received an email from email@example.com,net on Tuesday 18th September with instructions on how to complete your declaration. You are required to complete and sign the declaration even if your practice intends to pay for your annual licence renewal fee.
2018-19 Licence Numbers
During last year’s renewal, we notified you that we will be simplifying licence numbers. You were emailed with your new licence number on 28th August.
New Digital Declaration
We have digitised the declaration process using the secure online platform, Docusign. This will allow you to complete and sign the declaration on your computer or smart device. An email will be sent from Docusign on ‘firstname.lastname@example.org’.
When can I pay?
You can pay for your annual licence renewal fee in September, once we have processed your declaration.
2018-19 communication channels
This year’s renewal communications will be sent from email@example.com. We will also be using text messages, so you should expect to receive useful text message updates and reminders.
