Making innovation easier

15 October, 2015

All regulators have been challenged by the government to submit ideas that could be part of departmental innovation plans.

At the CLC we are casting the net wide to understand what steps we or others in the legal sector could take to innovate or to foster innovation in the market place.

We’re asking those we regulate to give us their views on four main areas:

  • Whether a rules-based approach or outcomes focused regulation is preferred and which firms view as more supportive of regulation;
  • What they see as barriers to innovation;
  • Whether different forms of compliance support would be welcome; and
  • The scope for unbundling conveyancing and probate services.

What you tell us will help shape our review of our regulatory arrangements as well as our submission to the Ministry of Justice for the innovation plan.

Have your say
